Most Stylish Man
From gold Lame and guyliner to waistcoats and wild facial hair,GQ presents the perfect accessory to a man whose wardrobe is all Killer,no filler
with more than 12 million albums sold and their third studio album effort on the way,the killers have had an accolade-packed four years,Now comes another triumph: the anoiting of their impressively dandified 27-year old singer as GQ's most stylish man of the year.Skinny suits, gold lame and rhinestones, eyeliner, waistcoats, bootlace ties, facial hair experiments-Flowers has certainly put the effort in,but even he didnt see this one coming.
How does it feel to be GQ's Most Stylish man?
Wonderful. I feel like the stranger at the end of the bar getting bedroom eyes from some exotic temptress-and I'm making sure it's me that she's looking at.It's pretty surreal.
Which designers do you like?
The guy who does Burberry Prosuim.Christopher Bailey.Heidi Slimane when he was at Dior, and Paul Smith.Dolce & Gabbanna is making slimmer suits, those are nice too.
What does UK style mean to you?
It's meant a lot. It's always been through music that i've found it. Obviously I was attracted to the songs, but it usually seemed to be English style that caught my attention. As soon as you say:"bunnymen" I see a trench coat.I went through a Manchester phase too.Liam and Noel go for the whole tough dude thing, but they wear cool stuff.they're blessed with great hair.
Is your look intrinsically bound up with the sound on each album?
I feel like I become what the songs are. Most people see it a contrived, but it's the oppisite I change: as humans,it's impossible not to.The band have all these experiences and when we get back together we're not the same people,so when we write, the songs come out differently. It's much more exciting to see wheere it's gonna take you, then dress appropriatly.
What's the look for the next album?
(kylies designer) Fee Doran is making some things for me for the next album,I can't give away anything.Let's just say it's a little bit more wild than normal
